Vanda as the Donor in The Catherine Wheel by Craig Lucas, NYC July 2011, off Broadway.

We are very glad to show the abstract of Vanda's latest paper, written with the taiwansese actress, Wenting Yang:

The Seagull Chick - actor in the neuroscience era

by Vanda Monaco and Wenting Yang.
Abstract

Two actresses face questions  raised by some neuroscience discoveries.
1) The starting point to work with a text  is not longer psychological.
2) Actors’ need of reward increases as how a seagull chick’s reaction increases by watching “the stick with read dots” (Ramachandran and Hirstein:1999).
3) The words of Shakespeare, Rimbaud and Craig Lucas are made into flesh for and on the stage (Linklater 2006, 2009).
Further work will be on the relationship with the audience under a mirror neurons perspective (Rizzolatti, Corrado 2008).
